Terms

The terms for using Navigatu and this website.

Last updated: 2026-10-13

Who these terms are with

These terms are between the company that signs up for Navigatu ("you") and Subendran RV, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India ("we"). The company accepts them when it creates its account. If you do not agree, please do not use Navigatu.

Each user your company adds accepts a short user notice when they first sign in.

How we handle your information, including your mail, is in the Privacy policy.

What Navigatu is

Navigatu is business email for your company's own domain. You sign up your company, connect your domain by adding the DNS records we show you, and add your users. They read and send mail on the web, iPhone, iPad, Mac and Android apps.

Navigatu does not offer free @navigatu.com mailboxes. Mail runs only on your own domain.

Your account

  • To sign up you give your full name, a work email address, a password, your company's name, its domain, its country, and the number of users you expect, and you accept these terms and the privacy policy.
  • You must verify your work email address with the code we send to it before you add your domain.
  • Keep your password safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
  • Give us true details, and tell us if you think someone else is using your account.
  • Your company's admin adds and removes the company's users.
  • Navigatu is for business use only.

The trial

  • Every new company starts with a 7-day trial.
  • During the trial, you can send mail only to recipient addresses you have approved, up to 10 approved addresses per company, and up to 50 sent mails a day.
  • To keep using Navigatu after the trial, subscribe from your company admin, under Plan, then Subscribe.

When the trial ends unpaid, a payment fails, or a cancellation takes effect

The rules below apply when your trial ends without payment, when a payment fails after you have subscribed, and when your cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period.

  • New mail is blocked, incoming and outgoing, until your company pays.
  • Sending is refused, with a message telling you to subscribe to keep sending.
  • Incoming mail is held for 7 days: it is not delivered and not bounced. After 7 unpaid days, new incoming mail is rejected, so that the people writing to you learn that it was not delivered. Mail already held stays held until you pay, when it is released into your mailboxes, or until the account is deleted.
  • Your existing mail stays available. Your users can still sign in, and read, search and export the mail already in their mailboxes.
  • After 30 unpaid days, your company's account is scheduled for deletion. We email you on days 1, 7, 21 and 29, counted from the first unpaid day. Paying before the deletion takes effect cancels it. Otherwise the account is deleted as described under "Ending your use, and ours".

Plans and payment

  • There is no free plan. Navigatu is a paid service, priced per user per month.
  • There are two plans, Starter and Business. Business includes everything in Starter, and more.
  • What each plan includes (such as storage per user, the number of users and the number of domains), and the prices, are on the Pricing page.
  • You subscribe from your company admin, and payment is taken by our payment provider. Taxes are shown at checkout.
  • Subscriptions renew monthly. You can cancel at any time; the cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for. We do not refund part months. Once a cancellation takes effect, the rules in "When the trial ends unpaid, a payment fails, or a cancellation takes effect" apply.

Command-line and API access

  • Personal access tokens, which let the command-line tool and your own automation use Navigatu, are available on the Business plan only.
  • Their use is rate-limited.
  • A token can be revoked at any time.
  • A personal access token can never delete an account or change billing.

Acceptable use

Please do not use Navigatu to break the law or other people's rights, to store or send anything unlawful, to attack, overload, probe or get around the limits of the service, to send spam or abuse, to access someone else's account or mail, or to resell the service without our written agreement.

In particular, do not use Navigatu to send bulk or marketing mail, malware or phishing. Sending limits after the trial are set by your plan.

We may limit or suspend an account that breaks these rules or puts the service or other people at risk.

Your mail

The mail in your mailboxes is yours. You give us only the permission we need to receive it, store it, send it, show it back to you, and carry out what you ask. We do not claim ownership of it and we do not use it for advertising. We do not train AI on your mail.

Our staff never see your mail without your permission. If you need help with a particular message, your company's admin, or a user for their own mailbox, can grant our staff access to the specific mails you choose, for a limited time you choose. Every view is logged, you can see that log, and you can end the access at any time. The details are in the Privacy policy.

Ending your use, and ours

  • You can stop using Navigatu at any time and have your company's account deleted. Only your company's owner or admin can ask for this. After the deletion is asked for, there is a 24-hour window in which it can be cancelled. When the window closes, the account's content is deleted: it is no longer served and can no longer be exported. Any remaining copies are permanently erased 30 days later.
  • We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms or the law, or that puts others at risk. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you why, and you can still sign in to export your mail.

The service, and its limits

  • We work to keep Navigatu running and your mail safe, but it is provided "as is". We do not promise it will always be available or free of mistakes.
  • Keep a copy of any mail you cannot afford to lose. You can export your mail.
  • We may add, change or remove features. Where we remove something you depend on, we will try to give notice.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, or lost data, and our total liability for anything connected with Navigatu is limited to what you paid us for it in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have by law that cannot be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute about them or about Navigatu will be heard by the courts in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. Nothing here removes a right you have by law that cannot be removed.

Descriptions of features that are not yet released describe our plans, not a promise.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the date at the top, and for changes that matter we will tell signed-in users in the app or by email before they take effect. If you keep using Navigatu after that, you accept the new terms; if you do not agree, you can delete your company's account first.
